Welcome of the Policy Creation Training Path. This series of articles and videos will guide you through creating a policy in PolicyStat from start to finish. We will begin by looking at using the PolicyStat Editor to write your policy and then cover the process of policy approval through the Approval Workflow.
Each page will build on the information presented so far, but this is intended as a guide rather than a rule. You are encouraged to move through the training Path in a way that fits your needs. Move forwards or back to find the information you may be looking for.
Creating a New Policy
Creating a new policy in PolicyStat is easy with either the PolicyStat Editor or uploading a Word document.
While it is possible to create a new policy by uploading a Word document, this tool is intended as a starting point for policies you may have had before your PolicyStat implementation. Our recommended best practice is always to write any new policies directly within the Editor to ensure the final product matches the intended outcome.
To begin, we'll look at the PolicyStat Editor before creating content.
