Objective:
- Resolve holds that are potential attachments
Environment:
- PolicyStat site undergoing implementation
Additional Information:
Documents may also be placed on hold for the following issues:
While our Conversions Team reviews documents, they will place anything that appears to be an attachment on hold. There are three methods to resolve these holds. Please follow the steps that correspond with your needs:
Procedure:
To retain the document as a stub:
- Click Home
- Click Policy Imports on Hold
- Click the name of the document you need to resolve
- In the comments field (A), type “retain as stub”
- Click Return to Queue (B)
Stub documents are standalone forms or attachments. A stub does not have content in the policy; the body of the policy reads “please see attached file” and the form or attachment is accessible in the Attachments section. You can link these standalone forms and attachments to multiple policies.
If the document is an attachment to a policy:
- Click Home
- Click Policy Imports on Hold
- Click the name of the hold
- Click View File to access the original document
- Save the original document to your local network
- Click Home
- Search for and click on the name of the policy that your form or attachment corresponds to
- Click Override
- In the Attached Files & Embedded Images section, click Choose File
- Select the document that you saved in Step 5
- Click Upload Attachment
- Fill in a brief description of your change in the Summary of Changes field
- Click Override This Policy
- Click Home
- Click Policy Imports on Hold
- Click the name of the hold
- Click Delete Import
This process will allow you to connect the form/attachment with its corresponding policy. We can, then, delete the form/attachment from the hold queue.
If the document should be retained as a policy:
- Click Home
- Click Policy Imports on Hold
- Click the name of the hold
- In the comments field, enter “retain as policy” (A)
- Click Return to Queue (B)
In most scenarios, we do not recommend retaining probable attachments as policies. If you believe you need to retain your potential attachment as a policy, please consult your Client Success Manager.
