Issue:
- The local site logo appears blurry, distorted, off, in some way.
Environment:
- PolicyStat
Cause:
The most common cause is the image being used does not comply with the specific size requirements.
- Header logos must be 400x200 pixels in .png, .gif, or .jpg format. (Only on policies, the larger image just under status, in line with properties)
- Site banners must be 250x50 pixels in .png, .gif, or .jpg format. (smaller, top left corner of any PolicyStat page)
All header logos must match the corresponding size.
Resolution:
- Download the selected image. Typically, right click on the image, and open in a new tab or download directly depending on the browser.
- Open the image in the Microsoft Paint or another image editing program. Paint is a free program and should be installed on most computers running a Windows operating system.
- Verify the size of the image as meeting the required standards listed above.
- Within Microsoft Paint, click Resize
- From the menu, click Pixels (1) and review the Horizontal and Vertical settings (2).
- Within Microsoft Paint, click Resize
- If it does not:
- The logo image is too large:
- Resize the image to fit the requirements listed above, but do not distort the logo. The preference should be to resize the height first. The background can be extended horizontally more easily if needed.
- The image is too small
- Resize the canvas to meet the size requirements.
- The logo image is too large:
Example
- This logo was uploaded for their header. The client reported odd behaviors on printed outcomes. Note: the actual size was much larger, but was resized to fit on this screen.
- The logo was resized to fit the 400x200 size. and reuploaded. The image no longer appeared distorted on the printed outcome.
