Objective:
Review alternatives to editing a policy with the PolicyStat Editor when this would not be the most appropriate or ideal choice.
Environment:
PolicyStat
Answer:
Collaboration and Commenting Feature
When giving or receiving feedback during the review process, consider using PolicyStat's collaboration and commenting feature. All involved parties can discuss and comment on a draft. External users can also view and comment, but cannot make edits. For more on this process, see this article.
Minor Changes - Administrative Override
For minor changes to document content, Site Administrators can perform an Administrative Override in place of an Edit. An Administrative Override bypasses the Approval Workflow process, so that minor changes will not require a full review by all Approvers.
Editing with Word
Please note that this editing method is not considered a best practice for the majority of PolicyStat users.
To use Microsoft Word to edit a policy that is already in PolicyStat, please see this article.
