- To understand how to access Pending or Draft versions of documents

Additional Information:
Within PolicyStat, a policy document's status can be Active, Pending, Draft, Old, Old Draft, or Retired. For more information on each status, see this article. While a document moves through its Approval Workflow, it will exist both as Pending and potentially as 1 or more Drafts. Follow this procedure to ensure that you are viewing the version most appropriate for your role in its approval process.
Permissions to view pending documents is specific to user's account permissions. User's will only see pending documents in the areas they have edit permissions for, have ownership of, or are part of an approval workflow on. In other words for a user to see all pending documents if they have no other permissions they must be given create & edit permissions in any areas they they pending approval visibility for.
Procedure:
From a Notification Email
- Log into PolicyStat
- Access document from link in notification email
- On the document:
View Pending Version from Active Version:
From the active version of the policy, click the button at the top titled Go To Version Pending Approval.
View Draft Version from Pending Version:
From the pending policy, click the Go To Draft Version button from the pending version.
From your PolicyStat Homepage
- Log into PolicyStat
- Click on your Home tab
- Under Policy Management, click Pending Approval (this may have slightly different wording on your site):
- To find a Draft, click on the Home tab, then click Drafts under Policy Management
- If you have access to other users' Drafts, you can search for them on the My Saved Drafts page by clicking the link to the All Saved Drafts page:
- On the All Saved Drafts page, you search for policies with the Search bar (A) or you can click on the column headers (B) to sort the list A-Z or by ascending/descending date of creation or modification:
