Editor Enhancements: Seamless Interface¶
We’re happy to announce the staged roll-out of some improvements to the policy editor’s User Interface. When you are selected for the enhancement, you’ll notice improvements to the way in which you interact with the toolbar. The static toolbar and second vertical scrollbar are both gone, replaced by a floating toolbar and a single scrollbar that frees you to easily navigate your content. This allows for more-intuitive scrolling and takes greater advantage of your screen’s real estate.
We really like it and we hope you do too.
Better Stability for Internet Explorer 7 Users¶
A small percentage of our Internet Explorer 7 users have reported persistent instability when using the editor. Not only does this User Interface change improve the general experience, but it was specifically designed to bypass the issue affecting those users. If you have seen crashes while using the editor, we recommend you request early access to this improvement.
If you haven’t yet seen this update and you’d like to be included early, please contact PolicyStat Customer Support. We’ll be very happy to help.
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible solution for creating and editing your important documents. The end result should be documents that are easy to read across all of the devices and formats desired by a modern organizations. This change is the first of many enhancements designed to greatly improve your experience while using our editor.
Our most-important planned enhancements include:
- Better support for undo/redo across all browsers.
- A more-consistent copy/paste experience that keeps the formatting you do care about and removes the rest.
- Better navigation and management of documents containing deeply-nested lists and tables. We’d like to help you control your headings to generate an automatic, easy-to-navigate table of contents.
As always, your feedback is very welcome.
