How do I Manage Users Excluded from Active Directory Synchronization?


If your PolicyStat site has Active Directory integration, you probably don't spend a whole lot of time managing user accounts. You may, however, come across a user now and then that needs a PolicyStat account, but does not have an Active Directory account to sync with.

In this case, go to the Admin tab - User Management - Create User. From here, complete the form for the new user, and leave the check box checked next to "Exclude from Active Directory". This will enable you to manage or edit the user's account info without having a user account created in Active Directory.



Note: If you un-check the check box, the user account will be automatically deactivated upon the next automatic synchronization between Active Directory and PolicyStat.
