System Downtime: How do I access policies during an internet outage?

PolicyStat is delivered 100% over the Internet.  So, in order to maintain the highest level of service availability to our customers, PolicyStat is hosted in geographically redundant data centers should a disaster or internet outage occur some place in the cloud.

So what happens when an internet outage occurs at your site?  A best practice would be to start regularly backing up your policy library to a locally accessible shared-drive so when your internet goes down, policy and procedure access does not. PolicyStat has a built-in backup tool available to site administrators via the Admin Tab-Reports-Download PDF Backup.

You will first need to decide what sort of backup schedule makes the most sense, i.e., daily vs. weekly or incremental vs. full backups, and who will bear the responsibility of executing it. Adding this to your *Disaster Recovery plan is essential to making sure your data is accessible during an internet outage

If you are like most site administrators, you may not have the time to add this important task to your already overbooked schedule, or there just may not be anyone else to take on the responsibility. In this case, PolicyStat offers an automated Data Backup Service. Affordable weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans cost as little as $2 per day.

Decide which data backup practice best aligns with your business needs, and let us know today if you need help with yours.
