When a policy has been modified, users can view modifications via one of a few methods depending upon their user role and permissions granted by that role.

Recently Revised Report

What It Does

Displays a list of all policies that are new or revised during the previous 90 days.

Who Can See It

Any PolicyStat users can access this report from the Home tab.

How to Access It

From the Home tab (1) click the Recently Revised (2) link on the right side of the page.

Show Changes

What It Does

When a policy document completes a workflow, PolicyStat uses a feature to highlight modifications to content. This should be familar to anyone who has used Microsoft Word's Track Changes feature where all content that has been added to this version will appear underlined and green, and any content that has been removed will appear struck through and red.

Who Can See It

Pending Status: Any users with access to view the pending version can see the changes. This can include Collaborators, Owners, Approvers, Area Editors, Area Managers, and Site Administrators.

Active Status: During the 90 day window after a policy becomes active, any user can view and use the Show Changes button to display changes. After the 90 day period, the policy is removed from the report and therefore the button is no longer accessible.

Site Administrators can still view the Show Changes button if they open the policy via the Revised Policies report or Reviewed and Retired report.

How to Access It

Click the Show Changes button along the right side of a policy.

For more information about the Show Changes feature, see this article.

Summary of Changes

What It Does

At any time modifications are made to a draft, before the Approval Workflow can be started a summary of the changes made to the draft must be provided. This information is then populated to the Revised report and/or the Reviewed and Retired report on the Admin tab. This report can be exported as a CSV.

Who Can See It

Any user who starts an Approval Workflow can write a Summary of Changes (1), but only Site Administrators have access to view the compiled reports (2).

How to Access It

  1. Click the Admin tab.
  2. Under the Reports heading, click the Revised Policies report or Reviewed and Retired report.
