Objective:
- To understand Heading Deep Links
Environment:
- PolicyStat
Additional Information:
When sending a link to a lengthy document, it may not always be easy to direct someone to the proper heading section of that policy. To help with this, PolicyStat now provides hyperlinks, also called Heading Deep Link, that link directly to a header within a policy.
When a policy goes through a Workflow, you will notice a new icon next to each heading. You will not see these icons when in the editor view.
Procedure:
- Click on the icon displayed next to the header.
- Using a right mouse-click/Paste or CTRL + V on your keyboard, paste that link in an email, on your intranet, or wherever you would like it to go.
Keep in mind that a user will still need a PolicyStat username and password in order to view that link (unless the policy link uses a Guest Access link).

Hi, I am editing a policy draft. At the top of the web page is a banner stating: "New Feature! Now You Can Link Directly to Headings Edit any Policy to turn on copyable links for each heading in the Policy . To learn more about what to expect, check out Hyperlinked Headings." Problem is, I am in edit mode but there is no icon as indicated for copying the link.
